Mac Vs PC

Contrary to my Windows 'heritage', I am considering buying a MAC Computer. My Dad has always been a huge fan, so when he got his Mac G5 summer last year, I was quite jealous of its reliability and speed at which it processes information. My love for Mac computers has since augmented, as one of my music teachers, Adrian Bawtree, recently recorded me on his Mac Laptop for my GCSE music performance. To be honest, I was stunned at the quality of the recording. Using GarageBand, he'd recorded me live, and with a touch of a button, had exported the file as an MP3. It struck me at how user-friendly the Mac OSX was, and how aesthetically-pleasing the user interface is. However, it seems that many others share the same view, namely the opposition, Microsoft.

On January the 30th, 2007, Microsoft released its latest toy - Windows Vista. It struck me last night as I was talking to one of my friends, at how similar they both appear. But seeming as I would like to buy one for when I go to Lancing College next year, as the first ever organ scholar, which one should I consider?
Recently, I have been 'let down' quite alot by my Windows computers; I am currently writing this blog on a fairly new Toshiba Laptop, which has frozen about 5 times in the amount of time it has taken to write everything above this point. My other computer finds itself in the massive shell of a server case. However, that is currently being fixed after it not being able to re-boot. Should I pay to get them fixed, or just get a Mac? After all, me being cautious about every penny I spend, i'd be looking for a wise investment, and there certainly is a second-hand market for Mac Computers due to their speed and design. This is in comparison to PCs, which after one year, are riddled with viruses, look as pretty as Miss McMahon (my dreadful maths teacher), and are only of scrap value. I'll get a Mac; not only do the above figures add up, but I like products judging by the manufacturing company e.g. I hate Airbus aircraft because they're French, so I prefer the American Boeings who don't leech so much off of governing bodies. Similarly, I prefer Macs to PCs because of this. I know that Bill Gates has several charities... blah blah blah... but he only has that money because he's a harsh businessman - for instance - on Microsoft's 'Virtual Earth', it claims that the company and its address of Apple Computers, doesn't exist! Surely they're scared of the competition? Damn Right.

Vista Voice Recognition This is painful.
